What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser and receives back with each request. Browser storage (localStorage and sessionStorage) is similar, but only the site's own scripts read it. We use both, only for the purposes below.
Strictly necessary cookies
seodada sets two cookies of its own, both needed to sign in. Neither can be read by scripts on the page, and blocking them stops you signing in.
Cookies we set
- seo_refresh: keeps you signed in. It is sent only to our sign-in routes and lasts up to 7 days
- seo_oauth_nonce: protects Google sign-in and Search Console connection. It lasts 10 minutes at most
Browser storage
These items stay in your browser and are not sent to us. They hold no password or session token.
Items we store
- seo-auth: your name, email address and role, so the app can greet you while your session loads
- theme: whether you chose the light or dark theme
- nav-collapsed and admin-nav-collapsed: whether you collapsed the side menu
- chunk-reload-at: kept only for the browser tab, it stops a reload loop after we release a new version
Analytics
We measure visits with Google Analytics 4, loaded through Google Tag Manager, and with Cloudflare Web Analytics. Google Analytics sets three cookies, _ga, _ga_F161E1LNKF and _ga_MSF74QWZT3 (one for each of our two Analytics properties), which distinguish visits from the same browser and last up to two years. Before a page address is sent to Google, we remove sign-in tokens, reset links and similar codes from it. Cloudflare Web Analytics uses no cookies or browser storage. You can block the Google Analytics cookies in your browser, or with Google's opt-out browser add-on, without affecting how the site works.
We also use Microsoft Clarity, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to see how pages are used: where people click and scroll, shown as heatmaps and as recordings of individual visits. Clarity sets two cookies, _clck (up to one year) and _clsk (one day), and Microsoft may set its own cookie, MUID, on its Clarity domain. You can block these cookies in your browser without affecting how the site works. Microsoft's privacy statement describes how it handles Clarity data.
Third-party services
Some pages use services run by others. They may set their own cookies, under their own policies.
Services that may set cookies
- Razorpay, when you open checkout to pay for a plan
- Google, on its own pages when you sign in with Google or connect Search Console
- Cloudflare, which protects the site, may set a short-lived security cookie when it checks for bots
- The chat window on our public pages, run by our own chat service at fast.fourdm.services
No advertising cookies
We do not let advertisers or social media trackers set cookies on seodada, and we do not use cookies to build advertising profiles.
Controlling cookies
You can view, block or delete cookies and browser storage in your browser's settings at any time. Blocking the strictly necessary cookies stops you signing in, and clearing browser storage resets your theme and menu choices.
Changes to this policy
We update this policy when the cookies or storage we use change, and the date below shows when it last changed.
